Introduction of Reagents That Can Be Used in Coal Mine Flotation

2021-07-23

Recently, a coal mine owner made an inquiry to us, asking if we could provide some effective reagents for the flotation of his coal mine.

After receiving this inquiry, our company carefully considered the available reagents, and chose kerosene and Q25 among many flotation reagents for customer testing.

As we all know, nonpolar hydrocarbon like oil (kerosene, light diesel oil and modified kerosene) is commonly used in coal slime flotation. After comparing the chemical properties, we chose kerosene because it is the distillate product of petroleum cracking. The main component is alkane, which is insoluble in water and only has collecting property. It should be noted that when the content of aromatics is large, it has certain foaming performance, but when the dosage is too large, it will also have significant defoaming effect. Therefore, the dosage must be accurate.

Q25 is an efficient foaming agent produced by our company. It is an amber or dark brown oily liquid with small odor and suitable for oxidized ore with high mud content. As a foaming agent, it has the advantages of uniform foams, large bubbles and good mineralization effect, which is conducive to improving the taste of fine products.

We have sent them as samples to the coal mine owners. We believe that the test results will not disappoint us. We also look forward to a win-win cooperation between us.
